In celebration of the UFC's 30th anniversary, we're taking a look back at some of the most memorable moments in the history of the sport:
- The first UFC event, UFC 1, was held on November 12, 1993, in Denver, Colorado. The event featured eight fights, with Royce Gracie winning the tournament.
- The UFC's first pay-per-view event, UFC 7, was held on September 8, 1995, in Buffalo, New York. The event featured a main event between Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn.
- The UFC's first event outside of the United States, UFC 12, was held on July 7, 1997, in Dothan, Alabama. The event featured a main event between Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva.
- The UFC's first event in a major arena, UFC 28, was held on November 17, 2000, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event featured a main event between Randy Couture and Kevin Randleman.
