Upcoming News: Carnival Cruise Lines Alcohol Policy Update
Important Changes for Guests to Note
Bringing Alcohol Onboard
In the past, guests were allowed to bring a limited amount of alcohol onboard Carnival cruise ships at the beginning of their cruise during embarkation day. However, this policy has been revised and guests are now prohibited from bringing any alcoholic beverages on board.
The only exception to this rule is that guests are allowed to bring a single bottle of wine or champagne (750 ml or less) onboard at the beginning of the cruise. A corkage fee of $15 USD will be charged for each bottle brought on board.
Monitoring Alcohol Consumption
Carnival has implemented a number of procedures to monitor guests' alcohol consumption. Bartenders are trained to look for signs of intoxication and guests who appear to be intoxicated may be denied further service.
Carnival also has the right to refuse service to any guest who is disruptive or disorderly.
Consequences of Violating the Alcohol Policy
Guests who violate the alcohol policy may be subject to disciplinary action, including being removed from the ship.
